Gallants: Located northwest of Stephenville, the community of Gallants was originally known as Camp 7, one of several such (numbered) logging camps in the area built by Mr. A.V. Gallant.

The town was founded in 1942. The population in 2016 was 50, a 15.3% decrease from the 59 reported in 2011
