Lord's Cove: Located just north of Taylor's Bay, next to Joe's Cove, this small community has been in existence since the early 1800s.
One historian has put forth the suggestion that Lord's Cove (as well as Lord's Pond) were named after the Harlequin Duck, who are locally referred to as "Lords" and Ladies".
Like most small communities, the population is on the decrease.
In the 1960s there were almost 400 residents making a living of the fishing industry, in 2016 the population had decreased to 162 (a 7.4% decrease over the 2011 census when there were 175 residents).
