Morrisville: Located about 2 km (1.2 mi) north of Conne River on the Southeast Arm of the Baie D'Espoir, this lumbering community was formerly known as Lynch Cove, ENL was named after a Jersey fisherman who drowned there.
It was renamed Morrisville around 1910 after Newfoundland's 12th Prime Minister, Edward P. Morris who was in power from March 3, 1909 to December 31, 1917.
According to the Central Newfoundland website, today the main employers are the forestry industry, the aquaculture industry, and a local hydroelectricity generating station. The population in 2016 was 101, down from the 117 recorded in 2011 (13.7% decrease).
