Middle Arm: Located at the easterly "boundary" of the Baie Verte Peninsula is the community of Green Bay.
There are a couple of small communities that area in the bay. The first is Middle Arm, which takes its name from the middle of three arms of Green Bay: Northwest Arm, Middle Arm, and Southwest Arm.
Middle Arm is considered to be, according to the CNL website, as being the most "southerly community of Baie Verte".
It was settled in the early or mid 1800s and as one would expect, the fishing industry was the major employer. More recendy, mining and logging were of great importance.
