Heart's Desire, 9 km (5.4 mi) north of Heart's Delight is said to have been settled about 1786 by Irish fishermen. Again, local lore suggests that a group of travellers arrived in the area and after ascending a nearby hill, they looked down to the water and being so pleased with the view, they had a great "desire" to continue on, as suggested by some, to see other places that "might catch their fancy".
Heart's Desire is the least populated of the three towns: it trails at 213 (a 4.5% decrease from the 223 recorded in 2011).
