Weybridge: Weybridge was in the past been known as Fosters Point, however, because there was another Foster's Point, in Smith Sound near Harcourt the name was changed in 1952 to avoid confusion.

According to ENL sources, it is believed that the new name was suggested by a native of a place of that name in England, who was a frequent summer visitor to the community.
