Perry's Cove: Located on the Avalon Peninsula north of Carbonear on the Conception Bay "side", Perry's Cove is most likely named after the English family whose surname was Perry.

It is believed that it was settled as early as the late 1700s. Even though approximately half the population chose to "resettle" in 1967 to Carbonear or other nearby communities, many stayed and today it is still a viable community.

In 2016 the population was 390, down slightly (-4.4%) from the 408 in 2011.
