Pinchgut Point: As mentioned above Pinchgut Point was a "companion settlement" to "Famish Gut".
Now known as Fair Haven Point, there are still a number of terrain and water features with the word "Pinchgut" as a specific, such as Big Pinchgut Pond, Great Pinchgut (Bay), Pinchgut Island, and Pinchgut Tickles.
Williams (1976) wrote "It is worth nothing that, while Famish Gut was to disappear, nearby Pinchgut Point survived place-name reform".
