Cuckolds Cove (Trinity Bay): Located on the Bonavista Peninsula, just south of Trinity on Trinity Bay, finding information about Cuckolds Cove, NL was difficult to find, especially given there appears to be three Cuckolds Cove, one in the east near St. John's, one near northwest near, Twillingate, and this one that was given the name by Cook and Lane.
Known now as Dunfield, it is a small community with only 78 residents in 2016, a decrease of 6% from 2011. There is a very attractive lighthouse in Dunfield that can be accessed by road or seen over the water from the town of Trinity.
According to Hamilton (1996) the name change was "akin to the politically correct' linguistic campaigns of the 1990s".
