DEADMAN'S BAY:
Located on the Straight Shore of Bonavista Bay near the community of Lumsden, before one comes to Cape Freels, why the body of water and the town with the same name was called "Deadman's Bay" was difficult to establish, however, it should not be confused with Deadman's Cove on the Great Northern Peninsula, which is, as you will read named after an "odd" incident that occurred in the community.
There is a Provincial Park at the bay which is described in the section on Provincial Parks.
