Cape Freels: Located on the northern extremity of Bonavista Bay, according to ENL the name of Cape Freels comes from the Ilha de Freylins, which translates to me "The Island of Brother Lewis".

It is believed that Lewis was possibly an associate of John Cabot. The area has been recognized as an early site of Beothuk activity. Paul Carignan (from Memorial University of Newfoundland) and his research team worked there extensively in 1973.

Artifacts included various tools and remains of residential buildings (e.g., hearths, house rings) dating to about AD 200-700. There are two small towns at the Cape: Cape Freels North and Cape Freels South.

In the 2016 Census there were 118 residents from 2011 to 2016 the population decreased by 4.1%. According to material contained on the Wikipedia site, there are actually two Cape Freels, the second one is on the south coast of Newfoundland, on the west coast of Trepassey Bay.

"That" Cape Freels and Cape Pine are both located at the same latitude making them the most southerly points in Newfoundland. They mark the eastern entrance to St. Mary's Bay. There is no community known as Cape Freels in that area.
