Arnold's Cove Station: According to Wikipedia contributors, the community of Arnold's Cove Station was established in the 1890s when Robert Gillespie Reid's Newfoundland Railway was constructed through the area, bypassing Arnold's
Cove proper.
Most of the early settlers worked for the Railway and in later years when the Canadian National Railway took over, they worked for the CNR.
